Accounts Receivable Specialist

Overview
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Accounts Receivable Accountant is a full-time position responsible for providing financial and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing and reconciliation of incoming cash receipts.

Responsibilities
• Print customer invoices to mail or email on a daily basis
• Prepare daily bank deposit, process credit card payments and allocate payments to customer accounts
• Reconcile sales reports on a daily basis
• Maintain customer files, reconcile customer receivable balances and correct discrepancies as needed
• Review and process credit memos
• Print customer statements to mail or email on a monthly basis
• Generate age analysis reports, monitor customer account details for non-payment, delayed payments or other irregularities and initiate collection efforts
• Research and respond to customer inquiries via phone, email or mail
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with one year of accounting experience
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing with customers and employees
• Strong work ethic, self-motivating and able to work independently and in a team
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong problem analysis with excellent problem solving skills
• Desire to uphold values and integrity of the company through sound ethical decisions
