- Well Crafted Glove Review by Greg Randolph
-
Price Value Quality I am a novice to archery. I am shooting a 40lb recurve (Samick Sage). I have only owned 3 shooting gloves total. However, this is a finely crafted glove, the leather and construction are of high quality. I have had it for a few months and have shot probably 3,000 arrows with it. I have a size small glove and the cordovan part of the finger stalls is 2 inches long, so I can get the string really deep in my fingers. The cordovan leather is slick and hard for a good release. This glove was really stiff at first, I put mink oil on the cordovan stalls to help break it in, I think it helped. Be ready to shoot a lot for break in. The stalls are 2 ply, deerskin and cordovan, about equal thickness. This glove is not as much protection as a cowhide glove (which is thicker), but it is good protection. I can also feel the string just fine. My hand measured 8 1/4 inches behind the knuckles and a small fit me. I highly reccommend this glove.
