- Perfect size for wildlife viewing Review by Pat

I bought these to replace my Shasta Ridge 10 x 42 (which I misplaced). 8.5 I think is a more optimal magnification to help get a steady image, and pairs well with the nice big 50 mm lens: you get a good combo of viewing the animal/object vs. having a large field of view available to scan. The big lens also gives a nice bright image.
Alpen does have a great lifetime warranty.
Tip: I put green or brown zip ties around the lens area so that the lens caps do not slide off and get lost.
