- Fantastic String Material Review by Aric Farias
Value Quality Price
I was needing a fast flight string and being the person I am I wanted to get it at the lowest cost per string I could. I stumbled on the Angel Majesty line of string ad decided to go with it. The Pro version (the version reviewed here) is supposed to have a higer tensile strength and a higher elastic modulus (stronger and less stretch) over the regular majesty. I can't say for sure since I haven't compared them but at the same price why not go with the pro version? Its a great string and definitely got me some extra FPS out of the bow. Well worth the money spent on it if you don't mind the limited color options.
I do have one other comment to make. It is said that since these are resin impregnated they won't tax and hold wax. That is true, it will not hold wax while shooting (not that it needs it due to the resin in it). What is NOT true, however, is the claim that you can't make a flemish twist string from it. You can wax the ends until they are stiff enough to to twist and it will work fine. Just make sure you buff the string until it is a wire like consistency after wards (as per Angel's reccomendation). And if you want extra insurance for the twist you put in the ends just put a blow dryer on low over it for a bit to get that resin flowing and lightly buff that too (just enough to compact it). Worked like a charm for me, holds the loop better than D50 too!
