Don't bother. Review by bobbyjoe

This bow is not worth the $20 you pay for it. Save yourself some headache, and just buy a 25lb takedown recurve for your kids. If they don't like archery you can always use it for bowfishing.

worth $20 to find out if you should spend more Review by Father of son

I wanted something to see if my 5 year old could keep arrows pointed downrange and still get to the target when all went well. This little bow did it - he could shoot into a straw bale from 15-20 feet away. It gave him his first few shots and me the confidence to start looking for something a bit higher quality. It's great for teaching early safety, stance and basics for this young age. Unfortunately after a week of hits & misses (into the side of my shed) the nocks were cracked/broken and we were off to look for a source of arrow/parts. The set answered my question and will be fine for him for the rest of the summer as long as I can find replacement arrows. The bow is a big step up from the toy store sets but don't expect more than your $20 worth.

Great 1st shot Review by PoppaRo

i bought this bow for my 8 year old daughter. I selected it because i wanted an inexpensive bow to be sure she would like the sport. She was very excited to find the package on the front porch and could not wait to try it out. She put all her gear on, stepped off four paces, turned, drew and released. A backyard archer was born! 1st shot. I can now spend some cash on an upgrade knowing she loves it.
