Beginners Guide to Traditional Archery starts at the very beginning, "0" experience. This book is an easy read. I read it three or four times before I started to shoot. After learning how set to set up your recurve and choose the correct arrows, shooting begins at 3 feet. Distance is increased to 5', 10', 20', 40' and finally to 60'. The author assures the reader that we all can shoot accurately out to 60', that is 20 yards. This is a very realistic hunting distance. Some can go beyond this distance in time. With this much practice, measuring distance is not required. The eyes, brain and muscles work together to hit the mark. The system works.
