PODCAST: Calvin Gross, 2022 ASA Hoyt/Easton Pro/Am Known Pro Champ

PODCAST: Calvin Gross, 2022 ASA Hoyt/Easton Pro/Am Known Pro Champ

High school biology teacher Calvin Gross achieved one of his life's dreams in February 2022 when he won his first professional archery tournament.

Gross, of Kentucky, won the Known Pro division at the Hoyt/Easton ASA Pro/Am in Foley, Ala.

In doing so, Gross came out on top of the largest professional field the ASA has seen in modern times - 106 archers. It was only the second finals shootdown the third-year pro has qualified for.

In this podcast, you will learn:
- How Gross got his start in ASA.
- How bad he had target panic just days before his big win.
- How he almost quit the sport a couple times, and what happened to keep him going.
- What he learned coming up through the ASA ranks.
- Whether or not his degree is in biology.
Mostly what you'll learn through this podcast is that Calvin Gross is an ordinary guy who loves archery and who accomplished something many archers in the ASA game dream of doing.
