I just received the bow today from the UPS truck. The box was split open and I feel like the directions or something was missing. It was very poorly packaged. However the bow is very fun, you don't even archery lessons to know how to be awesome at it. It's very addictive and makes me feel like someone (Katniss) in the Hunger Games!!! :)

It is an amazing bow beauiful i have been doing archery years before the hunger games but i still fell in love with the movie and this bow the only flaw is its not silver its gray but it is beautiful.

one day i was looking up good begginer bows and i saw this website and looked at this bow and i absolutly fell in love! I'm still trying to earn enough money for it but when i do i am so getting on right away and buying it in a snap. and i love it because its just like the bow that katniss had in the games. This is an incredible bow for if you are just moving away from handmade/ very beginner bows. Brilliant for Hunger Games fans like me and it's so light and easy to carry around. And at a price of £53.00 who could resist this?

This bow is great in all but you are probably going to get a better deal buying the PSE Snake(also found on this site) and painting it silver. Draw weight is a good, light, beginning weight that won't tire you out too fast.

This bow is absoulutly amazing for beginners like me. Though we bought it msonths be for Christmas and it just came in a week ago. After a few shots with this bow the arrows that come in the set tend to lossen so whatch out for that. Nice draw weight and acuarcy. !!!!BE WARNED THIS BOW IS NOT A SHINY METALLIC COLOR IT IS MADE OF A GRAY YET STURDY HARD PLASTIC!!!

If u want an honest review, here it is. This bow does take a while to get to ur house...but the bow itself is beyond ordinary! It does not look like the picture you see at the top, but the draw weight is very light, which makes it easy to shoot. Beautiful

I have always been good with a bow and this is the PERFECT size for me! A lot of people don't know how expensive bows go for and this one is actually fairly cheap for a bow! I'm gonna buy this bow with the remainder of my money. Thank's lancaster for this AWESOME bow!

I got this bow for Xmas and was extremely disappointed right out of the box. The bow does not have a "silver metallic finish" like the description says. It is a dull gray. Lancaster recently changed manufacturers of this bow and the new place does not make them as good as the first place did. The bow string is white (which is really weird) and the gray polymer came with many scratches. The arrows are very nice and well worth the money. I returned the bow and the shipping fee was not refunded and I had to pay for the return shipping as well. I was looking for a nice bow to display on the wall but this one does not give the appearance of the aluminum bow from the movies,

This bow is good for target practice, and shoots very nicely. I am thirteen, and thought this bow would be hard to pull back compared to my beginners bow. Actually, it wasn't that much harder. It is good for Hunger Games fans like me who want a bow that looks like the one used in the book and movie, but that you can shoot with, not one for display. The arrows that you can purchase with the bow are wonderful like the bow, and have feathers, which I like. If you enjoy archery and The Hunger Games, this is the perfect bow to get.

I like it a lot but I prefer the district 12 bow and arrow. Really cool bow though and it probably shoots better because its a recurve. I highly recommend it, both bows.

Very nice bow to use.Good pull back for beginners and a nice weight.THis bow does get scratched occasionally but will mostly on the nock. On my bow the string is sum-what falling apart but still hasn't come completely undone. Also the price of this bow is quite good considering the quality of the bow, because as you may have seen the prices of other bows on this website, no matter how good they may be, are a little steep for the average everyday american.
All in all a great bow that i would definately recommend,

I just bought this. It shipped fast and its great. I don't recommend this for children under 10 because the arrows are a bit sharp, otherwise it is great! It looks somewhat like Katniss's bow and arrows but not to much.

My daughter (15) had been saving for a new compound bow but couldn't resist this one when she saw it. Once the bow was in stock it arrived within just days. My daughter was at Yeoman Archer level according to the Junior Olympic Archery Development program with her compound bow, her first day using this bow at a shoot she advance 3 levels to Master Archer. Everyone at the shoot loved her bow and so does she. The only problem is that the arrows don't nock tightly enough and she has to hold them. All in all she feels it was a good value for her money.

It looks real nice out of the box, but the appearance deteriorates over time. I also experienced the arrow rests lasting about 500-1000 shots or about 3 weeks for me. However, what I love about this bow is it performs well, can be used right or left handed (a feature I feel is a must for beginner-type bows), and has a low draw weight which means control is easier.

I've used a lot of bows, braking one, as well as hundreds of arrows. If I could start archery all over again, this is the set I would get. WHERE WAS THIS PRODUCT 10 YEARS AGO? (Probably pre-R&D) Enough belly-aching. Seriously though, scout camps, day camps, and USA Archery youth programs (such as JOAD) should look into this. The arrows are not the cheapest I've seen, but they aren't the most expensive either, especially with the $1/arrow bundling discount (I think there should be a $1.5/arrow discount for buying 6 arrows, possibly as an additional option). I could very well see myself buying 2-3 more before the year is out....

Hi, I got this bow when it first came out. I am a freak when it comes to the hunger games. It is my favorite book series. When I got the bow I was pretty amazed on how well the quality was. For its price, it is very well made. I am a advanced shooter and I shoot with my freinds on the weekends from college. The arrows are very well made and they make the sound when you pull them back just like when jenifer pulled the arrows back. I definitly recommend this to anyone who likes archery.

I bought this bow 2 days ago and it turns out its horrible. just kidding! it works well while shooting some arrows.. The price of the set is pretty expensive but still worth it! but after about 120 shoots on the arrows they started to bend.

My grandparents ordered this for me as a surprise because they knew I liked the hunger games. When they told me I was a bit sceptical of the overall quality, but when I got it I was shocked. I did expect it to be shiny but then if ur hunting small game they would see you if the metal hit the sunlight and shone off. Its so fun to shoot and show off to my friends. It's truly amazing.
