Absolute Beasts! Review by Brink

I love these arrows. I bought the Cheetah 300's (.0015) for hunting purposes after the season ended last year. Even though I had good success (3 deer killed - passthroughs) with Easton BloodLine's, I wanted something better. The Cheetah's are just plain awesome. Like Wayne Christie, I shot my first one into my friends concrete barn floor sighting in my new HHA sight...woops... Unlike Wayne Christie's arrow, my was virtually undamaged (a small scuff) and kept shooting after a bend test and visual inspection. A few weeks later, I went back to my buddies barn and shot through a target (old and beat up cheapo target) and the arrow lodged into his tool box (sorry Brian). I removed the arrow, no damage. As far as their durability on deer, I just shot my first deer with one last weekend. Passed through and stuck in the dirt. That arrow has been cleaned and placed back in the quiver.

Best shooting All Carbon Shaft you can buy Review by dewboy

First of all, these are some of the straightest arrows you can buy. Period! But because of the way they are wrapped, you CAN NOT spin test these on a standard Spin Tester! As the dial indicator runs across the layers of carbon, which are slightly different heights, it will appear to a complete novice that the arrow is not straight. You can feel the uneven surface with your hands. You can even see the waves in the shafts! Yes, they look WEIRD! There is NO WAY to use a standard spin tester to test the straightness of these shafts. The above reviewer has NO CLUE what he is doing. By admitting that he tested them on a standard Spin Tester tells me all I need to know that he is clueless. Carbon Tech has a way of optically testing these for straightness that is very accurate. They most likely test on the INSIDE surface of the shaft that is smooth as glass! Out of the MANY different all carbon arrows I have ever shot, the Carbon Tech XP's are among the straightest shafts I've ever worked with! And the spine consistency is second to NONE! Because of this, they are one of the best grouping arrows you can buy. I test my carbon Tech shafts for straightness, but I can assure you that it's not done on a standard spin tester on the outside surface of the shaft! And as far as them not holding up to being shot into the floor at 20 yards, they are NOT designed to shoot concrete floors! They are designed to shoot targets or game. And out of the hundreds of Carbon Tech Cheetah XP's I have shot, I never had an arrow split at the nock. They may break when an animal rolls over on them, but most shafts won't stand up to that. For one of the lightest carbon arrows available, they are plenty tough. And if they are not tough enough for you, go with the whitetails or the Rhinos. How can you buy one of the lightest, thinnest walled carbon shafts on the planet and then complain because they break when you shoot the floor?? The only gripe I've had with them is the price. But when you look at Carbon Express' top of the line straightest spine selected shafts, they cost just as much, or more. The best all carbon arrows are NOT easy to make. Therefore, they are expensive. If they were cheaper, I would buy twice as many!

great shooting arrows Review by jack brantley

I have been shooting these shafts for about 10 years,i guess since they came on the market. I shoot a lot.I have a lot of arrows at my disposal to shoot.I have shot a lot of different name brands and can say without a doubt that the Cheetahs(525) at 27in, 75gr screw in points, pin nocks, at 48lbs group great at all distances( 20ft to 90 yards). I shoot them out of a PSE Vendetta, Mathews Z9, Mathews Rival Pro(1998) and Hoyt Ultra Tec(2003).
On the down side, I bought 2 doz. shafts originally and there was 10 gr difference between the 2 doz. I have to keep the arrows seperated. I still have 9 good arrows in one group and 10 in the other.

A great option Review by Richard Liebherr

Arrow was all I hoped for and more. Wanted to create super high FOC and this 6.4 GPI .4 spine did the trick. Total arrow mass just under 700 grains. Took both a 300 gr fieldpoint and BH with 100 gr insert, and shot into 3/4" particle board: No external footings on the arrow and not the slightest sign of damage to the arrow after this abuse. The MFR weave is truly unique. Great buy. Could never imagine such a light arrow performing to this level of durability. Carbon Tech all the way for me!

First ever review, and not happy with the quality. Review by Wayne Christie

On my spin tester, several arrows wobbled. After one arrow was fired about 15 times I noticed a loose nock. The arrow was split at the back is why. There was no evidence of nock damage or direct hit.
Next, at an indoor tournament, I missed an animal and hit the floor. About 2-3 inches broke off at the point end. Any arrow should have withstood that angle....hit the floor about 25 yds away and slide into the netting.
Shooting since 1999, and not happy with these arrows!
