Carsage! Review by Rayray

I loved my 45# sage. But it took its toll on my hand from hand shock. The noise irked me too. This riser alleviated all that. No more hand shock. Sage limbs bolted right in but took a little bit of convincing to get them seated correctly in the pockets. The price is oh so right. The limb bolts allow you to mount a stabilizer or weight to them, while still having the option of mounting it to the stabilizer boss. This was nice, as my stabilizer was a little too short and light, but mounting to the lower limb bolt balanced it out perfectly. I am a little weary about having it set up at 45# (42# OTF at 26") over time, as I have read that these risers were meant for lower weight. But so far, accuracy is great. Noise (lack of) is great even without string puffs. Even the grip feels good. But it slips out of place so easily it was making noise when shot, so I wrapped it with some hockey tape around the riser to keep it in place and now its really quiet. I hope nothing changes over time. The sage is a great beginner bow, but this blows it away IMO as far as value, price, accuracy, and overall feel. I have it set up with a GWS pro hunter rest at the moment and it is shooting just fine. If you prefer to shoot off the shelf, it wouldn't be hard to build up the shelf to even out with the plunger hole and use a bolt with a felt pad to fine tune your center shot either.

Great for the price Review by Jay

Had it for a few weeks and I'm loving it. For the price its a great purchase. My only complaint is that the samick limbs did not go in smoothly at all. If I had not used the limbs on a different riser I would have thought that they were the wrong size. Once I used a bit of force everything was fine though.
You can snatch the grip right off also. I am not sure how I feel about that. It doesn't fall off or interfere with my sgot at all but it is a little odd to me.
If the price was higher I would give it a lower rating but at this price you are getting a solid riser.

Great with 45# sage limbs. Fast, quiet and accurate. What more could you ask for the money?

Might be a good bowfishing rig Review by Hookeye

Looking to get try archery on the cheap? Maybe equip a summer camp? Need a bowfishing rig?
This might be a great deal at just over 100 bucks with limbs.

It aint perfect, but how could it be for such low cost?

Riser has some twist, but string stays in grooves. Buzzy at the shot even with 8.5" brace and heavy carbons (530 gr) from 45# limb set- that hit 45# right on the money at 28".

If you think this will compare to other rigs costing 3X as much, think again. It is what it is (and there's nothing wrong with that). Shot along side my Dorado........difference is huge (in favor of the Dorado). Custom? My Blackwidow whips my Dorado for feel/speed other.

Hate risking a more expensive bow to the rigors of bowfishing, but hate a funky vibe in a bow even more. next yrs carp slayer will be an Excel with TT wood/glass limbs.

I mated this riser with Sage limbs, finding it as fast as any custom bow and MORE quiet and hand-shock free than bows costing MUCH more. Wow!
