Flawed design makes this sight incredibly fragile. Review by EricJ

I'm a total beginner here so I don't claim to have a lot of expertise regarding bow sights. This sight came with the Samick Polaris I purchased and initially I was happy enough with it. Unfortunately the orange plastic piece on the sight has a major design flaw: at the corner where the piece clamps on the the vertical slider the plastic is only about 1/16" thick (see the last picture in description above). A very small impact occurred on mine and the thin brittle plastic snapped. After it broke it was really clear how thin that part is and why it broke so easily. The plastic at that corner is just too thin and makes the piece very prone to failure. If it wasn't for that issue I'd say this is a reasonably good sight for beginners like me.

The sight you get so that you learn to appreciate better sights Review by David Whitney

At first I wondered why good sights were so expensive....

This came with my Polaris, and it does the job of getting you used to sighting.
As a sight it works perfectly well. The up/down left/right adjustments are easy to make, and I learned what I needed to learn to shoot at 20 yards.

However,

The screws will loosen every 5-10 shots regardless of how tight you crank them down.
I lost the windage set-screw after a couple weeks, it had rattled completely out of the sight block. Fortunately it turned up in the grass a week later.
The vertical set-screw needs to be tightened frequently or else the whole sight block slides to the bottom, usually on your last shot of the end... At least the vertical bar has nice indexes on it so you can find where you had it before - if you remembered the number. You did write that down right?

The best of part of this sight is I am now *thrilled* to be spending a ton of money on a Shibuya.

No Bueno Review by Vishva Kumara

This is what I got default for my Cartel Sirius, and for 19.99 I guess it is what you get for that price. Yesterday when I was shooting, the sight flew off a couple of feet. The bolts pushed in to the sight assembly that fits in to the rod with bolts gotten loose, so I had to put some super glue. And it is wobbly and gets loose once a while. The plastic body looks so cheap. I would prefer something made out of aluminum extruded bars over this.

Cheap but low quality Review by Sandor Otott

The scope itself slides around due to the resonance after each shot, so you have to readjust it after every third-fourth shot. After about 8 hours of shooting the orange mounting broke when I was adjusting the cross hair. I only used my fingers and I am not that strong so I guess the plastic mounting was such a low quality that it just couldn't handle it. Technically I just wasted 20 bucks :(

Great youth sight Review by scouter72

I put this on 8 Genesis bows for Boy Scout Camp. I have tested them and it adds great accuracy over freehand shooting. They seem pretty tuff so I think they will hold up this summer but we have not put them to the test yet at actual summer camp.

Nice but difficult to use Review by Susan S. - Orlando FL

This came with the basic recurve set and is nice, but it is time consuming taking it on and off since you need a screw driver and the part that attaches to the bow is adjustable so it is easy to knock it out of place after it has been attached. My son requested I order the one they use in the program to replace this one due to the ease of getting the item on and off and the better stability.

Cartel Recurve Sight Review by ArrowStalker

This a great entry level sight for your recurve bow. Not much play, pretty solid for the price.

I'm a freestyle shooter, and switching over to try my luck with a recurve, it only took me about 10 minutes and I was shooting groups in a 6 inch circle from 20 yards.
