Value Quality Price I had used the cometition points in 2712 aluminums for quite a while with good results. I thought I would give them a try in my gold tip 22's that I planned to use for field.
While sighting in on the Block brand targets our range has I hit an arrow insert that someone had lost in a bale. That folded the tip back on the first of my new competition tips. over the next week I had two more competition tips destroyed in the same manner.
Now I am down to 9 arrows before a big shoot. I hit the pin nock of a competitors arrow center enough to bend the post of his insert. All part of the game, until I see my steel competition point is all flattened out from hitting an ALUMINUM nock Insert.
After visiting with two of the pro's I shoot with they told me that they had similar results with the competition points and to just stick with Gold tip stock points. Save a lot of time, effort, cash and frustration.
