I have a lot of tabs, many of which I modified to meet my preferences. The last thing I needed was another tab. After reading many reviews and seeing more top archers using the Fairweather, I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did. This is very comfortable tab. The ring/spacer material is special...just the right amount of stretch, softness and a tackiness to keep it in place. Follow the sizing instructions, pull the paper used to measure fairly tight and you should have a perfect fit. The ledge works great for an under the chin hold. I mostly shoot with a more traditional anchor with the index finger at the corner of my mouth. I can barely feel the ledge, but I might grind some off. That should be a very quick fix. The leather is great. Already soft and it feels broken in. Three layers sounded like too much but is actually perfect with good protection and good string feel. I will probably cut some leather to open up more space for the nock. I suspect that will not be necessary and use will fix the tightness.

pricey, but probably worth it; really well made Review by ghillie

I normally shoot 3-under with a deerskin glove, anchoring at the corner of my mouth. After experiencing a little numbness in my ring finger following a few weeks of intense practice, I decided I'd try a tab for more protection. Since I was changing things up, I figured I'd also try shooting split finger with a new anchor point for awhile. I spent a few days shooting with the Fairweather tab using an Olympic anchor. I found that the built in ledge wasn't comfortable for me, so I filed it off. After a couple more days of shooting, I went back to my mouth-corner anchor; nothing to do with the tab per se, I just find that as a barebow archer that anchor suits me better. Now I've been using my slightly modified Fairweather tab for a few weeks and I really like it. It's broken in nicely, it's comfortable on my hand and against my face, and I seem to be consistently shooting a little more accurately than with my glove. At almost $90, the price seems a little high to me. But given it's excellent quality, I still think it's a good value.
