I love longbows, but navigating the Alabama underbrush with a 68" longbow can be a pain. I bought this bow to be a little more manageable in the woods.
First, it is a beautiful bow. The lines are graceful and the black glass looks good with the colors of the riser. For a longbow, it is a tad heavier than I expected, but not untolerably so. The black leather grip and black rest/side plate are functional as well as adding to the asthetics of the bow. Performance is what matters, but it sure is a looker.
Performance: it's there. Mine is 45#@28, but feels a tad heavier. I draw 29" and it feels close to 50#. This is not a problem as the draw is very smooth to anchor.
There is little hand shock, and I hate to refer to it as that. The advertisements say it's a "velvety thunk" and that's what it feels like. The grip is comfortable to my hand.
Arrows are delivered with authority I shoot instinctive and it didn't take long for arrows to hit where I looked. A note about arrows: this bow does not like light arrows. When the brace height is set and your arrow is heavy enough, the bow is quiet. Using a carbon arrow with a 125 grain filed tip resulted in a clacking noise. When I used my hunting arrows (approx. 500 grains total weight) it was quiet with better arrow flight and accuracy.
You need to be on your form with this bow. It is not forgiving to a sloppy release. However, if you do your part, it will deliver.
This is a fantastic bow, probably better suited to the intermediate or experienced archer. It will deliver meat to the freezer or be a great 3D bow. I highly recommend it.

I picked up this bow from an archery shoot in South Carolina. I have shot the same recurve for 4 years and took this bow and my heavy arrows and shot a 40 target 3D course and was shooting like I had been shooting that bow for years. its got a large throat and a recurve shooter can easily pick it up and start shooting it. smooth draw all the way to 30" and a fun bow to shoot. highly recommended!
