I love this bow but it is my most expensive to date. Review by Rick

I love my Bear Super Kodiak. Mine is the version from a couple of years ago with the red colored wood. Its a beautiful bow and the finish on my example is fantastic and I shoot it very well. My only issue is that it has been a job to quiet this bow. I have tried every brace height from 8 to 9 inches and have tried carbon and cedar arrows in 400 spine, my bow is 50 pounds. I'm going to try a little heavier arrow next maybe something around 600 grains and see what happens. I've had most success with beaver balls over the rubber silencers. I also added some Limbsation snakeskin limb decals and man it looks awesome. I have several other older bows and a couple newer lower priced bows but as far as looks, construction quality and feel is concerned I just love this Bear bow. Wish they were a little less expensive but I all in all I have zero regrets.

All show and no go Review by Chris R.

Pros: looks cool, points well, nice finish.
Cons: Noisy, Slow, difficult to tune, not smooth.
Quality - it looks nice. It points well. However, this is the loudest recurve I've shot; nothing helps much, not brace height, tuning, suppressors. And it's slow! Pound for pound it's the slowest recurve I own. Perhaps all it's energy goes to making noise?
Price - For a little more money you can get a custom bow. For a lot less money you can get a bow that shoots just as well, if not better.
Value - Still trying to find it. Perhaps I got a poor sample.

Great Hunting Bow Review by Deerslayer

This bow is a great hunting bow. Its mid length makes it easy to move around in the woods with without losing too much accuracy. Its really easy to shoot off the shelf making it a instintive shooters dream. Also its quiet once you get the brace height right and fairly fast to boot. Great bow and it carries Papa Bear's name you just can'tgo wrong.
