A fine first bow Review by Michael Edelman

This is an excellent choice for the teenage or adult beginner interested in Olympic style shooting, or just back yard target shooting, at low cost. Add a Hoyt Super Rest ($2.50) and tie a nocking point on your string, and your bow is ready to shoot. You can add a sight, a stabilizer, and a plunger buttoning you like, and move all those accessories to an ILF bow when it’s time to move up- but you may well be happy shooting this bow for a long time, if you’re not interested in becoming a serious competitor. Mine is going to be used for introducing friends and neighbors to archery, and giving them basic lessons.

Nice bow. Review by Tracker381

This is a great light mass weight bow for students. I have several for our club. The only problem is they scale heavier in draw weight than they are marked. They also come with bow strings that are too short for fine tuning. I'd order a truck load of these bows if the 66" came in 10 to 12 pound draw weights and the 70" at least came in 15 pounds draw or less. I'd also buy a bunch of the risers if they were sold separate. The fit and colors of the risers are wonderful for the money but I keep having to order lower poundage limbs from Quintessential or SF Prostyle to adequately teach students of all ages good form. Once I have added a correct length bow string to these bow they tune and shoot easier producing fine groups and good form. After those extras expenses though I'm now considering going with Galaxy Ilf riser with light limbs. I've had good luck with the light ILF Galaxy limbs being marked accurately.

Great for beginners! Review by Linda

As someone new to the sport, I needed three things in a bow: a low draw weight, a fairly long length, and it needed to be left handed. The Aspire fit the bill and after spending some time with it, I gotta say, I love it. It is a pleasure to shoot, and it's got everything predrilled and tapped for accessories. The biggest downside is as one of the other reviews said, that there are no replacement limbs available. I'm going to be sad when I need to upgrade. That said, for a shooter who needs a lower draw weight, you will be hard pressed to find another recurve that goes down to 15lbs. I might also say that the string could definitely be better, but honestly, for the price you're definitely getting a good bang for your buck.

Good entry bow Review by Jonathan Morgan

This is a good entry level Olympic Recurve Style Bow with take-down limbs. Very light and machined to accept all Olympic Recurve sites stabilizers ect.

Cons: Would have otherwise given 5 stars.

No replacement limbs available.

The string that came with the bows I purchased were to short giving a brace height of 9 1/2 inches. This may very well be fine for this bow however the manual listed the proper brace height at 7-8 inches. We ended up using a longer string and set the brace height at 8 1/2-9 inches which seems to work well. Had a little excess vibration with 8 inch brace height.

Great Value Review by Paul

This is a really great bow for the price. I wanted to get myself back into archery and needing a 70" bow, I am 6'3", at a reasonable price. This bow is a great value and high quality, Be advised that replacement limbs are not available, this might change. I highly recommend this bow and the people at Lancaster Archery are extremely helpful.

I bought this bow to have a recurve to practice with. I must say, it's quality surpasses my expectations by a long way.
I look forward to shooting with it for a long time.
FWIW, it's made in Korea.
