Very good value for a nice shooting TD longbow Review by Jim

The finish is a bit thin but otherwise its a very attractive bow especially for this low price point. It shoots where you look consistently if you do your part and that is about all you can ask of any bow. These Korean/Chinese bows are great values and not just for beginners, these are solid bow for any level shooter. I have several custom bows and this bow will shoot just as well for most archers.

good, beautiful and not expensive Review by egquebec

You can have more for your money... Limbs are not perfectly aligned, string grooves are too sharp and it a bit loud. But easy to tune and shoot well.

Third time is the charm Review by shamus275

I've bought this exact bow three times...the first two times I hated it because of the grip and sold them both within a week. I just got another one and this time I've decided to give it a fair shot. Right out of the gate, I immediately remembered why I sold the first two. Because the grip is terrible! I'm sure its great if you have large hands and like to take a death grip on the riser but if you don't...break out the rasp, a dremel tool or a disc sander. Definitely all three.

After about an hour of reshaping the grip it feels right and Its a pleasure to shoot. It comes with a high wrist grip that is very fat in the throat and it puts your hand in an awkward position. That awkward position for me related to string slap regardless of brace height. Once the grip was sorted out, it was time to shoot.

The first thing you'll notice is that the string that comes with it is garbage. Throw it out and order yourself a nice flemish twist string and be done with it. Don't even waste your time with the included string. Even with the flemish twist, string silencers are a must. I have wool puffs on mine and its whisper quiet.

This bow really likes a longer brace height, 8.0"-8.25" seems to be the sweet spot. The longbow limbs are quite smooth and with the bamboo cores there are quite quick too. I haven't chrono'd it but I'd say its in the 185-188 fps range with an appropriate hunting weight shaft (10-12gpi). Its every bit as fast as the custom bamboo cored longbows I own.

Overall, with a modified grip the bow shoots really nice. There is almost zero hand shock and I'm sure its due to the weight and laminated design of the riser. Fit and finish is...adequate. Its not a custom $700-$1200 longbow by any stretch of the imagination. I'd like to see a little better fitment of the limbs to the riser but with a mass produced Chinese low-priced bow its to be expected.

For what I use it for, form practice, stumping, hunting, and the occasional 3D shoot...it gets the job done and leaves plenty of money left over for a nicer set of arrows and bow string. Its the perfect bow for someone starting out who doesn't want to drop a ton of money right out of the gate or the hunter that wants something that shoots fast and accurate that he/she can beat up in the brush.

My only real gripe is the grip and that can be easily modified to fit your shooting/grip style.

the limbs are not in line& I had to sand the string grooves as the top limb grooves were cutting the string loop.
other than that it's a pretty good bow.
could of been an outstanding bow if things had been right.

I have had this bow for about 4 months now and I absolutely love it. It's easy to tune, fast and accurate. I would recommend this bow to anyone. Definitely use beaver fur silencers. It is a loud bow without them but quiets down nicely with them. No complaints whatsoever!

Great bow, very accurate, nice and light , shoots smooth. Worked well with my beman centershots. Finally figured out i had to set my nocking point higher cause I shoot 3 under. 55lbs draw at 26in .
I'm excited to put my thunderhorn quiver on it, easily shot baseball size groups at 12 yrds if I did my part. String silencers worked to quite the bow down quite some bit.

AWSOM BOW!!! Review by Muleymike

I am fairly new to traditional archery, I've dabbled over the years but I've finally decided to commit. Before this bow I was shooting a Howatt bushmaster at 60 lbs it was a touch too heavy for me but I liked it. This bow however is a totally different animal all together it is completely dead in the hand super fast and super quiet I couldn't possibly be any happier with the way it shoots. It is a beautiful bow too, the pictures don't do it justice at all. I couldn't possibly be any happier with this purchase!!!

Absolutely Amazing! Review by G

Received my Galaxy Ember Longbow during early November.

First impressions: I started with an Olympic recurve, so I thought this longbow would be very light, but it's fairly hefty, still lighter than my recurve though. The finish is a matte charcoal dymondwood, but upon certain lights it gives off a very beautiful hue of forest green, which I like better than the polished bows that looks like high-grade floor woods.

I went up from a 22 pound bow to the minimum 30 and I thought I would hardly reach anchor, but the change wasn't too overwhelming. I have strange arms because I had a surgery on my drawing arm when I was little, which brought about a weird, almost sharp twinge when drawing on my recurve, but that feeling is absent on the longbow, because it has a really smooth draw.

The string is fine, no problems, completely usable. I'm pretty sure that the string is an endless loop, but with some beaver balls the bow is fairly quiet. The riser is 15 inches, the limbs seem to be long types so its fairly good for my shorter draw length. I was new to the limb bolt system, but it's fine, not a lot of trouble there.

Overall the bow is beautiful, significant in the hand, and cost effective for what you get. I would definitely recommend this longbow to friends, who are willing to try a longbow.

Fabulous bow!! Review by Pablo

I received my Ember Galaxy with longbow libs last weekend and my first impression was "man! this riser is perfect". The weight of the raiser is great even if it is just a 15" raiser. It is made with diamond wood, layers of wood glued together and after pressed under extreme forces, this makes the material extremely hard and heavier than normal wood.
The bamboo limbs are so smooth, you can't feel that is a 60" bow, it feels longer. I did some bareshaft tuning to find the right arrows and boom....great bow.
