Genesis Pro Test Review by bill77429

I decided to take the Genesis Pro I had on the shelf for the grand kids and see what it could do out to 50 yards. I thought I would do it on a budget so I outfitted it with stuff I had on my work bench including a medium whisker biscuit, an economical 4 pin sight and used no stabilizers. I set the bow for max weight. Trajectory was flatter than I was expecting at 50 yards so I don't know what force was really behind the arrow. I used Easton Blue Ion 28 inch .500 arrows fletched with AAE WAV vanes and 100 grain target points, a D Loop, a peep sight and used a Patriot release. I calibrated each sight pin for 20, 30, 40 and 50 yards using a 48 inch regulation target. I shot 10 arrow ends with the following result. 20 and 30 yards all gold, 40 yards 7 gold 3 red. 50 yards 6 gold 4 red. I think I could have done a little better at 40 and 50 if I had been more careful with the level at the bottom of the sight. All in all shooting this little bow was a lot of fun and I was truly surprised by the results. I am 68 years old and consider myself a little better than average shooter so I would be curious to know what others have done with this bow. I will probably take it down again sometime and try to improve upon these results just for the fun of it.
