- Great Riser, Not So Great Limbs Review by Quinn
Value Quality Price
Build quality is great. Speed is impressive. Accuracy is outstanding and up there with the best of the best. Aggressive but not uncomfortable to shoot. However, the limbs leave a lot to be desired. They are pretty loud and much more difficult to quiet down than most bows, although you can get it there if you really work at it. Also they were massively over-weighted on the ones I got. I ordered 55lbs and at 29" it measured at around 65lbs. For lower draw lengths it might be fine but it really starts to stack past 28". I swapped for a set of TradTech Black Max limbs and it was a world of difference. Truer weight, smoother draw and just as fast even at a true 55lbs. Easier to quiet down, too. I'd recommend buying the riser only if possible and picking up some other limbs separately. Lancaster will convert ILF limbs to fit the GM2 if you ask and they even measured the new limbs to ensure they were weighted accurately. After that modification I am very, very happy with my bow.
