This is the first bow I bought, and I've been with out for 6 months now. I'm not entirely sure what an awesome bow is supposed to be like, but so far I haven't encountered any problems so I guess it's good. :)
However, just beware to anyone out there who's picky about colours as much as me...I ordered the cobalt blue, and it looks quite different form the picture they have the cobalt blue above. In real life, the cobalt blue looks more navy blue/violet then light blue. I was pretty disappointed about that because I was looking forward to a light blue. :(
It comes with a nice soft case, which is awesome. :)

- Great Riser! (Quick solution here for purchasers of this riser) Review by Wes K.

As I mentioned before, this is great riser! But I've encountered a little issue regarding the threaded plunger hole.
I own the black-out riser and it turns out that Hoyt allowed some of the paint on the riser to enter the threaded plunger hole. This makes it impossible to screw the plunger in all the way through to the arrow-side.
A simple solution is to soak a q-tip in some nail polish remover (or other solvent). Work the solvent just inside the plunger hole, rub vigorously around on the threads to remove the stubborn paint deposit. You will need to use multiple q-tips, when the tip gets darkened with paint, switch to a new one. This took me about 15 minutes to do and now my Shibuya DX plunger goes all the way through!

- Great Intermediate Riser! Review by Wes K.
Price Value Quality
I've been using my Hoyt compound bow for about 10 years now for target shooting and decided to test my skills in to competition recurve target shooting. This is a great purchase for an intermediate archer, especially when moving from compound to recurve. With it's lightweight and durable construction, there will definitely be another 10 years of archery for me!
