Great for consistency Review by Jen

I put the Ortho on my Hoyt Excel to replace the (kind of sweaty) plastic stock grip, and I'm glad I did. I'm fairly new at archery, and I shoot barebow, so consistency is a big thing for me. It's great that I don't even have to think about my grip when I'm using this. My hand slides up into the right position every time, and I can focus on everything else that I need to do in order to pull off a good shot. The high hand position felt a little unnatural at first, but I'm getting used to it quickly.

The grip itself is a little less solid than I expected, and the wood grain is much more subtle than the picture indicates. It goes nicely with my blackout finish riser, it assembled easily, and it feels like it'll last. Slightly pricy, maybe, but not unseemly.

Great grip, on ALL my bows Review by Kasey

This grip is a lot like the old style BEST grip another custom maker makes. Very aesthetically pleasing in both the grey action wood and brown rosewood. I have medium sized hands, wear a medium or large in gloves, and this grips fits well. With that said it is pretty high wristed. I have 3 hoyt risers and all of them have the ORTHO grip on them.

Good Quality, but Did Not Fit My Hand Review by Bo Archer

This grip is well-made and looks great. But it just doesn't fit my hand. It pushes my wrist in the wrong position and applies too much pressure to the fleshy part of my lower hand.

So for me, the value was not there. But probably my fault for not finding one to hold before buying it. I have tried the Hoyt Ergo Wood Grip. That is what I will be ordering instead.
