- Good bang for the bucks! Review by Lizard on AT
Quality Price Value
I have always been impressed with these Hoyt backpacks. Even the first generation backacks were very nice and roomy. I am glad to see they did the full from zipper opening, as it makes for easier access to the equipment compartment. One critique I do have it the "limb pocket" on the side of the pack is not very well designed. It needs to be more roomy and PADDED better. What I would recommend is to put all your gear (riser, limbs and sight + aperture) in sleeves and soft cases and in the main compartment. Use the "limb pocket" as your stabilizer pockets, if they fit. I would also recommend you purchase an arrow tube, for your arrows. In the Gen 1 pb they had an actual stabilizer pocket.
We have had SEVERAL of our JOAD kids buy these and they are quite pleased with them.
If you travel, you can get an SKB case in which your HOYT backpack will fit perfectly! Two of our archers who are currently RAs have down this and they are QUITE experienced on the international travel scene. They have down this for years, and they swear by it, so I recommend, when you buy this pack, and if you know you have to fly, then buy an SKB case to pack the pack into for the journey in the luggage compartment! I am sure the "Techsperts" at LAS will advise on which SKB will fit your HOYT backpack! They are the best at what they do!
I can never say anything bad about my friends at LAS! They have served me all over the years! Thanks Rob and all your excellent staff and Techsperts! ;-)

I have been using this case for about a year now. The size is amazing for the price and the padding is amazing! I don't know what happened with the backpack above with George, but mine still looks like the one I bought a year ago. Now, there are some threads coming out of the riser pocket, but this is because of the AAE clicker wire that scratches the inside polyester and takes the threads out.

I can not recommend this pack. The shoulder straps are coming off and the zipper is already broken. I only used it for a week or so.
Very disappointed to get a product that bad from Hoyt, they should stick to doing bows.
