- Expensive But Well Worth The Investment! Review by Michael Konshak
Value Quality Price
If only I could do it all over again. Unfortunately, I cannot. You can learn from my mistakes though! I'd wanted to make my own endless loop strings for quite a while but could never see myself buying a string making jig because they are so expensive. So, I first built my own jig using lumber. It worked, but not well: I don't recommend lumber-constructed string jigs (at least not the one I made anyway). Next, I purchased the PEL (Portable Endless Loop) jig. It was much better than my homemade jig but it leaves a lot to be desired: the posts are way too short and way too close together. Nonetheless, I made about 50 strings with the PEL and they turned out great. I even sold a few strings! However, I was never happy with the PEL jig so I finally decided to buy the P&A jig (after a great deal of looking/comparing/budgeting). Well, the P&A arrived today and I put it to use immediately. Wow, what a great jig! Built to last a lifetime. Now I just need to sell a couple hundred strings to recoup the investment...
