Uncomfortable and Painful to Wear Review by Rich

I ordered the correct size based on measurements and instructions. The formmaster is incredibly uncomfortable to wear and down right painful to use. The strap, which was very snug, is made of a cheap nylon strap that is very scratchy and digs into your arm as you use it every time. A rubber band holds the strap together so it is tight on your arm, this band stretches right across the inside of your elbow, pulling hairs, and putting pressure on this soft spot of your arm. The strap and the rubber band are held together by sharp metal rivets which dig into your arm as you draw your bow. The inside of your elbow squeezes these sharp metal rivets. The string which attaches to your bowstring is cinched to length with a galvanized steel device with two bolts sticking out. These bolts scrape across your forearm with use.

After just three shots with the formaster I was left with red marks and pain on my arm. I do not see how a larger size would help because the materials are scratchy and sharp. This product desperately needs to be redesigned to be useable.

I ordered this from a dealer within Lancaster's dealer network and it was drop shipped to me from Lancaster.

Excellent Product Review by Kenny

I bought this so my daughter can improve her form and technique at home, as we can only go to the range once, or maybe twice a week. She has used it several times a week since we got it and her scores at the range have improved dramatically. Not sure if it is merely a coincidence, or if the product is that effective. Nevertheless, my daughter likes using it a lot.

P.S.- The x-small size fits a 7-year-old girl that is 4'3" tall,

Formaster Review by Archie

When used properly this device works really well. It trains you to stabilize the bow at the release, and also helps maintain back tension after the release. When I was shooting competetively I hit a plateau, and strated using this device. My indoor FITA scores improved by 10-15 points (260 avg to 270 avg) and my outdoor scores improved by about 50-60 points (mid 1000s to >1100). It is also the most realistic shot trainer because you use it with the same bow and arrows that you wish to shoot at any given time.
