Excellent Quality for a Reasonable Price Review by G. M. Most

I did a lot of research prior to buying the Phantom. Re-entering into traditional archery, I was unsure whether to purchase a production bow or a custom bow. After trying a few of everything, I took a gamble and finally settled on the Samick Phantom as a good entry level trad bow that provided a little more in all categories. It is an outstanding bow - good weight, low hand shock, pulls all the way back to my 30 inch draw length without stacking. After I stretched the string and started tuning it, I realized I have a steady shooter that hits where I aim, if I do my part. The alignment pins and limb mount system are simple and solid. Overall a great value for the money...no other production line hunting bow comes close to touching this bow in price, and the look and performance have met all of my expectations. I can't say enough about Lancaster Archery - great website, great prices, awesome product selection (most people I talked to did not even know Samick made the Phantom). Delivery was prompt and you have a happy customer.

Just what I was looking for Review by longshot2

Spent a bit of internet time researching bows, and consistently found Samick bows were good value.
I chose the Phantom because it was 62" and a friend who has been shooting longbow for about 30 years told me to check it out.
This is a great looking bow.
Lancaster Archery was a pleasure to deal with. The bow arrived promptly and was well packaged.

Nice bow with a nice price tag Review by Old Hunter

This is a great little bow for a reasonable price. Replacement limbs at competitive prices make the Samick Phantom a real value. The only fault I can find is that the handle is a bit blocky. But the smooth draw and shudder-free release more than compensate. The bow did arrive without a bowstring, but that was remedied with a phone call to LAS customer service and they quickly reciprocated. All in all, I consider this a good purchase.

Well worth the money Review by big Al

This is the least expensive of my 8 bows and already my favorite. Supplied string was way too long but I wind my own anyway so not a problem. Brace height of 8 3/4 and a BCY8190 string made it extremely quite. Lancaster is also a great shop to deal with.

Great Bow Review by Rob from Australia

Spent a bit of internet time researching bows, and consistantly found Samick bow were good value.
I chose the Phantom because it was 62" and would draw better to 30".
This is a great bow. The paduak timber on the riser does have a little bit of a grainy area ( This is a charactaristic of that timber. ). The riser looks classy.
Lancaster Archery were a pleasure to deal with. The bow arrived promptly and was well packaged. They also responded promptly to my initial email about what the fittings were on particular models. The Samick site is not 100 % accurate lol.

I was tempted by the Red stag and the Deermaster, But the Phantom was in stock...

Great bow for the price Review by Fletcher Phil

I'm very pleased with this bow. Much smoother and quieter (after the addition of string silencers and female velcro where the string rests on the limbs) than the Sage I first learned on. Much nicer riser and finish than the Sage. Don't get me wrong - I'm a huge fan of the Sage as a very cost-effective starter bow. But long term, the Phantom is well worth the extra $100. And if you have a 30+" draw and are shopping for a bow, take a good look at this one and stay away from all the 60" bows, which are really designed for shorter draw lengths.

For the money spent this is one fine shooting Recurve, I normally shoot a longbow, but I'll
take this Bow a lot of those high price units. It's even fun to shoot.

Good beginners bow Review by Nick

The finish on this bow is very nice. It does have an amount of un-needed vibration which may not be present in a bow many times the cost, but a pair of bow jax and string silencers have turned this bow into a very user friendly and silent bow.
It has great accuracy (when i do) and quite a powerful shot. The bow is well weighted too, being a little heavier overall than my mates deer hunter bow, making it a very comfortable on the left hand. The 50# limbs i bought have plenty of go to them, but arent what i would call beginner friendly. The bow is also a 62" bow, suiting me quite comfortably as i have a longer than average draw length.

overall im very impressed with this bow. There are better bows with uglier price tags, but bang for your buck this bow is very hard to beat.

The felt under the limbs is getting flat but not affecting accuracy.

I've owned and shot some high price bows that were not as smooth or quiet as the Samick Phantom. For the money you can't go wrong.
