Avoid Mushroom/Bounce Review by David

Initially purchased some bullet points from Big 5, made by Allen. Shooting 400 spine, 29.5" arrows from a 50lb recurve, into cardboard targets mounted to hay bales. Infrequent, but bothersome non penetration (bounce back) occurred do to the blunt point hitting a soft spot. Hitting a hard obstacle had a 90% chance of mushrooming the tip, something I didn't experience with pointed field points I had on 4 of my other arrows. After trying these out, I can confidently say they are a marked improvement over the my previous bullet points.

have used for years Review by hank

have used these tips for years of shooting. like the 2 stage tip so even when my youngest shooter hits the 3D target they have a better chance of staying in the target even with the lower poundage bows in my family group...

Great points Review by Dave Z

I have these points in every weight for 5/16 inch diameter OD. I have only good things to say about them. Never had any thread issues. As with any screw in point, I use string wax on the threads to keep the points from loosening.

Fixing my last review Review by Robert B. Belton

OK, it won't let me edit or delete my review, so. I'll fix it here. I meant to say that the Carbon Express Mutiny (the older .003 ones) are .296 not .246 for the 250's. And, I left out that these tips range from 100.4 to 96.2 grains so I stone them all to 95 Grns. Or, to what ever it takes to get my arrow/tip weights all the same.

Very good Review by Robert B. Belton

About the only field tip (19/64) that fits Carbon Express Mutiny (.246) or Crush (.293) arrows well. I shoot a lot of indoor, in the winter, and these tips make it easier to pull out of the backing. I have not found them to be softer than any other filed tips nor have I had problems with threads.

Cheap tip, you get what you pay for Review by Johnny

These tips are fairly cheap, and available in a lot of sizes. One out of about every five has irregular threads that make screwing them in somewhat difficult. Also the metal is very soft, i.e. dents and disfigures easily. I'll use these until they're gone, but would get something else next time.
