Great release! Review by Ridge

Very happy with this release. Helped me squeeze the trigger rather than punch. It's not a true back tension though and can be cheated. With that said, it is tougher to punch and is very accurate. Quite happy with this release.

Fantastic release Review by Si

This release is so great. I originally thought that it was going to be a bit scary to use because of the whole back tension- click and pull thing but once I shot with it I became totally confident in it and myself. It is especially easy because of the wrist strap. I personally feel that the strap gives you more confident control in the draw and when anchored but also if you ever need to let down all you have to do is let go of the release and let down, whereas with a regular handheld longhorn, megahorn, or baby horn it is a bit trickier. This release also helps to slow you down in your shot because there is really no way to punch it. Another thing that is great is the fact that the actual release part can be adjusted using the strings attaching it to the strap. This allows the shooter to find their most comfortable position rather than just having to adapt to one fixed one. Get this release. I can almost guarantee that you, if you are interested in trying back tension but aren't thinking you're ready for a handheld, that you will not be disappointed.

Target panic gone - Amazing accuracy Review by Jab good

I can't say enough about this release, the tech support @ Scott and the quick cure it provided to my target panic. I've suffered from a severe case of TP for over 15 years and I've read every book and article and tried every fix, remedy, cure and resolution to get rid of my TP. Nothing worked until I purchased the longhorn hex.....I wish I tried a back tension release a long time ago. I setup my kids genesis bow just like my Mathews solocam (peep, loop, sight pins etc.) I cranked the bow way down and started shooting at 5 yards. I shot hundreds of arrows until I got comfortable with executing the back tension release, then I stepped back to 10 yards, then 20 and I shot the best groups in the last 15 years. I then switched to my hunting bow and I could not believe my groups. Buy this release perfect the back tension release (work on your form) say goodbye to your TP for ever.

Target Panic cure for hunters Review by 'Yote Hunter

I have been involved in traditional and compound archery for 30+ years and struggled with target panic/punching/freezing (you name it) for most of that time until I found out about back tension (BT) releases. The problem I had with BT releases was the danger of them misfiring in a hunting situation. This one can't do that. Since I've been shooting the HEX, my target panic is under control - something that I haven’t been able to say for over 25 years. Great quality too! As a side note, I have read several articles about using a BT release to 'train' with so you can switch back to a standard caliper release during hunting season. This approach won't work for anyone with a bad case (or even a marginal case) of target panic. You’ll just go right back to your original problem and miss the buck of a lifetime in the process. You need to stick with this release, learn how to use it and use it exclusively if you are going to keep the target panic demon at bay. I would strongly suggest surfing the net until you find a good article on 'how' to shoot a BT release before you start shooting the HEX or any BT release because it isn’t as straight forward as a standard release. There is a combined technique of using back tension and elbow rotation necessary in order for this release to function properly for you. Good luck!

Best Release I have ever had Review by William E Perry

I took part in archery for many years... in the 70"s,,,, back then we used a hook release.. this is much like that.. but adjustable and easy to use. I have used the Release for 6 months now and it just gets better the longer I use it. Easy to draw with and let down if needed. It is a very well made Release, I have made my living for many years as a machinist and Tool & Die worker... It is so easy to use back tension with this unit... go for it.

This is a wonderful totally new release, that will change the way you shoot. I always had a problem with punching the trigger, well it's almost impossible to do with this release. The two finger trigger is what I have been looking for, I had a tendency to try and pull the trigger with the second finger now I get to use both fingers and it works great. I shot a hundred and twenty arrows yesterday, and I just keeped getting better. I can't say enough, get It, I think you will love it as much as I do.
