Not bad, but definitely not "blowing the lid on top pro secrets" Review by MB

The video is OK. The beginner archer will be able to learn from it a lot. However, the video doesn't say anything an experienced archer wouldn't already know. Many things are a personal preference of the 2 guys, so doesn't mean they work for everyone... Also, they contradict each other on a few occasions, which I found interesting (pay attention when they discuss grip on the riser, and later they pick up a bow that goes completely against what they said). So that raises a question - are they practicing what they preach? Anyway...

The great thing is that the video can be used as a 1.5 hrs quick reference, so even if you know it all, it wouldn't hurt to watch the video every few months to remind yourself of certain things.

Now, there's lots of product placement, and what's more annoying is the way they did it... "So, Dave, what bow strings do you shoot?" "I shoot the ABC strings model X, type Y, with 25 strings, <<enter detailed spec here>>, which are the best and come with N years warranty against peep rotation, untwisting...", "Oh, me too, only mine are <<enter detailed specs here>>, and I agree they're the best ... <<repeat repeat repeat>>". I've seen other videos with just as much product placement, if not more, only done in a more "tasteful" way.

The "acting" is also not great - you can tell these guys needed to rehearse a little before filming.

Overall, I'd say something like this should be around the $20 price point, not $40. I'm glad I found my copy used. I'd recommend it for sure, just look around for deals if you can.

Excellent visual coverage of shooting form Review by Winn

I really liked the visual aid of the different aspects of the shooting form presented. I've heard mixed reviews of the advertising of the products in the video and it made no difference to me. All of the products that they did advertise are quality and you won't go wrong by using them. If you would like a small book that will provide similar aspects of this video with less than 200 pages, I suggest Kirk Ethridge's "Professional Archery Technique".

A good DVD with a lot of tips to try out. The only thing that bugged me was the very obvious product placement and sales pitch. I do understand that they're sponsors but I did not pay for an advertisemnent DVD.

Having said that I will surely try the techniques they are discussing.
