Great Tree Stand Review by Colasessanoesq

This is a great stand for serious bow hunters. I have always used Summit tree stands for both archery and gun seasons and enjoy their safe, secure and comfortable features. Last season I purchased the Viper Elite and was very pleased. This stand is incredibly light which makes it easy to pack in and out of the woods, and even to change hunting spots during the day with out killing yourself. The stand is undoubtedly the most quite of all stands I've ever used. Keep in mind, it does make noise, like all stands, should you knock the top and bottoms together or hit the frame with your bow or gun. But as far as squeaks and creaks, I didn't notice any even in sub freezing temperatures. The seat is the most noticeable difference from the other Summit stands, as you sit higher in the stand which is why it is so ideal for bow worries about hitting the rail with your bow while shooting, even at game at close range. Also, this seat is simply nylon fabric stretched across the rails and is not padded, nor is there a pad that wraps around the tree for your back - this simplicity is nice, but it does make for an uncomfortable sit for long periods of time. This biggest complaint is the cost - but for a light, quiet stand with excellent quality- notwithstanding the seat- I cannot complain too much. Well worth the money.

Keep Looking Review by LoneWolf2

Bought this stand 2 weeks ago, sold it a week ago after 4 uses. By far the worst tree stand I've ever used. Noisy, flimsy stirrups. and teeth bind horribly into tree bark making climbing very labor intensive. Far less work using my lone wolf hand climber. Bottom nests into top making attaching and detaching from a tree very cumbersome.

Welded construction appears very sturdy as well as the cable system...but that about all that is good about this stand.

Bottom line, there are better stands out there.
