Second set of Samick Limbs Review by Jack

Ordered the limbs on mon. And they arrived on Thursday. Excellent service by the Tech's. They installed the cat whiskers on my new string as well as installing the limbs avers on the new limbs. My first pair of limbs were the Black Max for 129.00...med and 40ibs@28. Shoot great and are very quiet. Hard to beat for the price. This new set are a little better limb for 229.00 with some carbon in the mix. Easy to set up on my Black Bear 21in. Riser. In less than a half hour had the limbs on as well as the string and a nock point set. Checked everything over an d then to the backyard for some testing. The new limbs are doing exactly as I had hoped. They are 45 @28 and are giving me that little bit of speed I was looking for. Tweaked the nock point and gave it a bit of positive tiller and the arrows are flying true. The entire set up is super quiet and I'm contemplating using for whitetails.
Hard to beat the service and knowledge of the Tech's @ Lancaster Archery and their attitude is very positive and seem to enjoy helping out a fellow archer. Thank you Lancaster. Jack

Smooth and Powerful Review by Bo Archer

I ordered a set of Medium 55# TT Black Max limbs setup on a 21" Hoyt Excel Blackout riser with a Bearpaw Fast Flight Flemish 3 Color String. These limbs are powerful and smooth with no stacking. The quality of materials and workmanship is excellent. I look forward to years of service from these limbs.

I found that on my Excel 21" riser, these limbs pull at their stated weight @ 28". With my 27.5" draw, I’m working up to 0 tiller to eventually use their full potential; so I’ve been backing-off the tiller about 5-6 turns to drop the weight until then.

To work on my form and for short to medium distances, I also got a pair of Medium TT Glass/Wood limbs at 35#. Surprisingly, these actually pull around 44# @ 28" on my Excel 21" riser. The limb pocket angle of your riser will greatly affect how any ILF limbs might pull, as well as the riser length rating of the limbs themselves. So, I recommend calling Lancaster and talking with them before you choose your limb weight.

In Love! Review by Knock nock

Very smooth! No hand shock. Surprisingly quite with out string silencers. I have a 32" draw, so these 35# limbs are mounted on a 25" w-w riser, for around 37-40#. No stacking and plenty of speed!
I spent some time researching limbs and these kept topping the lists for performance and value.
Lancaster Archery was really terrific answering final questions.

Very Happy with The Black Max Carbon Limbs Review by Vanduzer

I built a riser and ordered these limbs. I had to make my riser with a set of dovetail brackets, limb bolts, and limb bolt inserts purchased from Lancaster Archery, to make this ILF ready. My riser came out beautiful (purchased wood blank from from Bingham Archery, green camo dymond wood) and I was able to put these limbs on with no issues. I have a draw length of 28 inches and I purchased the medium limbs making a 60 inch bow. The limbs were fast and when I first shot them at the 20 yard indoor range I was pleasantly surprised on how much faster these 55 pound limbs were then my 50# Samick Deer Slayer bow. I have since added a flipper rest and am buying some Carbon Tech Rhino arrows. 45/70s (400 spine). I have been shooting for 3 years and I thought the natural progression was to go with faster limbs. Lancaster has been very good, with good products. They have knowledgeable staff, and fast delivery. I am now ready for some Silver Flame broadheads after I tune my bow. I still have to determine what weight of broadhead to order. I will be ready for Elk Season here in Oregon come this fall.

Good Review by Sipsey

These are very good limbs at a very good price. But, the poundage is higher than stated.
Mine are suppose to be 35# on a 17" riser, I have them on a 21" riser and the lightest poundage I can get is 35#. They are near 40# on my 17" Sky riser. For most people being off a few pounds might be ok, but with my old weak shoulders, this is a problem. I suggest you order these limbs a few pounds lighter than you would the BlackMax wood/glass limbs. The BlackMax wood/glass limbs poundage is exactly as stated for the set I have.
