- Quality limbs Review by John R

Value Quality Price Excellent quality limb for the price. The appearance and workmansip is flawless. They seemed to be a bit heavier than the rated weight, but adjusting the limb bolts out a bit on my bow took care of that. They are a smooth drawing limb, and much faster than I expected. They do hit hard, and I experienced much deeper penetration in the target foam than expected. I would highly recommend them for an entry/intermediate level shooter. The next step up would be carbon/foam, but at a much higher price. Overall, I would highly recommend these limbs for 3D or hunting. And of course value for the money is top notch. And Lancaster has excellent customer service.

Quality Price Value I have both 35# and 40# sets of these limbs. The 40# set weigh out at 37# (expected 38#) and the 35# set weigh out at a very light 26# (expected 33#) on my Pinnacle II riser. These weights are measured at the risers minimum weight setting. Both sets draw smoothly and shoot well. I thought about trying to send the lighter set back, but the lower weights were helpful in my shoulder rehab and now come in handy while shooting with first time shooters.

- Great value in recurve limbs. Review by gumboman

Price Value Quality These limbs in 45# are mounted on my Hoyt Excel 21 inch riser. This limb and riser combination makes for a great recurve set up at a very attractive price. Have shot it now for two weeks and I have to say it shoots great. Workmanship is good. I am very satisfied with the performance and quality considering the low price. Compare these limbs to other brand name limbs and you will see the cost difference. I would recommend these limbs to anyone wanting quality, performance and value in a ILF recurve limb.

Price Value Quality Excellent quality for the price. These limbs shoot as well as limbs that I have had that were much more expensive. The poundage was exactly as stated and exactly what I needed.

- These make a great bow with the Hoyt Excel riser Review by jchase

Value Quality Price Purchased a 21" Excel riser and John added Trad Tech Black Max limbs in the weight I desired. He really worked hard to set it up just as I desired it to be....and he succeeded. I have compounds and one piece recurves and longbow, but I do believe this has become my new favorite. This has the longest length of any of them at 66" ("long" limbs on 21" riser) and is a very smooth shooting bow. While it is cut past center, John set it up with nice appearing stiff felt - shaped appropriately - to create an off the shelf shooting platform which - at 43# - will shoot my 1916 and 2013 arrows with precision. He added adjustable nock points on the string, and all arrows shot true with no further adjustment.
I am very satisfied with the bow, consider it a valuable purchase and would highly recommend it to all. The service at Lancaster has been excellent. Thank you, John!(Posted on 10/24/11)
