Do not Buy Review by Clifton Cannon

I bought this for my daughter to use to help her control her target panic. The first one did not work right out of the box, I sent it back to Lancaster for a replacement (Lancaster was awesome by the way). The second one worked for about 10 days, before it stared acting up. Now it sits on my work bench as a reminder not to purchase this junk again. For 150.00 you would expect some quality......

Poorly designed release Review by USNAVYCHIEFRET

The “PanicX” function worked for a few days until I adjusted the trigger to my liking. That was okay with me as I don’t punch the trigger anyway. Then one day while practicing the tip of the release came flying off before I got to full draw (lucky thing I wasn’t at full draw). I had no idea the tip, with the jaws & trigger unscrewed from the rest of the shaft. It flew off but I found it. I submitted an RMA to Feradyne (the manufacturer of Tru-Fire). I can log in to my account on Feradyne, it says “refund”, but I have yet to see one. I submitted this RMA in November 2018. I have always used Tru-Fire releases since my retirement from the U.S. Navy when I started bow hunting. I’ve tried another manufacturers release but always went back to Tru-Fire. Too bad. I liked the trigger on this release. I would stay away from this release. Feradyne doesn’t show it on their website and they tell you if it isn’t shown they’ve stopped manufacturing it.

The release worked well for two weeks. Then one day I went out to practice, and the jaws would not hold. As soon as I began to draw, the release would let go of the D-loop. I found that when I closed the jaws onto the D-loop, the trigger was not resetting fully unless I took the extra step of pushing it fully forward. I have contacted Tru-Fire to have the release repaired or replaced, but have not heard back yet. Will update when I do.
