The pine seemed a little subpar what you can choose for yourself at the hardware store. Some of the hardware wasn't the best choice. For example, the pine was so soft that the carriage bolts would turn when the lock nuts started to tighten. We had to switch out the carriage bolts for similar sized slotted round head bolts. However, in the end, the stands worked but seemed slightly wobbly holding tm50 round bales. I'm not sure I could confidently put AR152 bales on them--I don't have AR152s to try it.
At least in the end, they hold the bales.
