Archery began for me as a hunter at the age of ten in my childhood state of Mississippi. I was raised to be a passionate deer and turkey hunter.
To improve on my hunting skills, I started shooting at local clubs and pro-shop tournaments. I quickly realized that archery was a God-given talent and I felt I was gifted with shooting and competition seemed very natural.
I started shooting professionally in 1997 and since have competed in over 120 Professional events Worldwide. I have successfully competed in 3D, field, indoor and outdoor target archery. I have represented the US Archery team for several years and won multiple medals and championships in each format.
When I was 18, I left a college football scholarship opportunity to instead work in an archery shop for 4$ an hour simply because I loved it! Later I opened my own shop for a brief period before being hired at Mathews Archery where I worked for nearly 9 years.
I had many responsibilities at Mathews including National and International Sales and Marketing management. I was involved in nearly all aspects of the growth of Mathews as well as many R&D responsibilities. My sales territories both domestically and internationally always were recognized with the highest growth.
In 2006 I created JDA International and I ventured to work independently as an International public relations/sales/marketing manager for several archery manufacturers. I currently work with Hoyt, Easton, Trophy Taker, Carter Enterprises, Winners Choice, Field Logic, Arizona Archery and Realtree.
I spend my days working on sales, marketing and R+D task, as well as, testing new gear, writing articles, taking photos or traveling the globe conducting educational compound archery training seminars for retailers, clubs and National teams.
I have dedicated my life to archery and it would nearly be impossible for me to list all the areas I have my assisted the industry. I have traveled over a million miles for archery and have seen everything from grass roots archery clubs to the most high tech manufacturing facilities.
I have built my career and my reputation on having high integrity, great communication and a rare understanding of almost all aspects of this industry. I am fortunate to have been a lot of places, coach some of the best shooters in the world and hunt with great industry leaders.
I pride myself on long-term relationships and investing in trust and possess a rare loyalty that is very hard to find.
I have a long list of sales and marketing accomplishments and often see my areas to be among the highest in company growth. I handle each of my roles as if my decisions and commitment was for my own company that I am trying to grow throughout the industry.
